"Basecamp is a cute small hotel. Rooms are small but you have everything you would in a large hotel brand, fridge, soaps, blow dryer & this one has a cooler too! BONUS- they have two fire pit areas to hang out and they have s’more fixin’s! It is right in the heart of all the restaurants, beach & cute stores and great views of the lake. Very kind people here! If you were wanting to stay in South Lake Tahoe, they have one there too! Highly recommend! We recommend eating at Za’s AND Rosie’s it’s .04 miles from Basecamp."
"We had a fantastic stay at Basecamp Tahoe City and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tahoe. We stayed for 4 nights in May. The staff were all super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had many wonderful interactions with Jenny at the front desk, who checked us in and told us about all the food options nearby. She had answers to all our questions and helped us out whenever possible (lending us plates for heating up food, providing us with sticks for roasting marshmallows, etc). The rooms are decent. We did request a change after our first night because the sunlight was leaking in through the blind early in the morning and affected our little one's sleep. Tess at the front desk helped us arrange a room that faced a different direction and it had been great. The location of the hotel is great too. There are lots of great food options nearby. There is a scenic trail that leads up to the beach with a nice playground. The whole area is very family-friendly. We really enjoyed our stay."
